Local Instagram Influencer @jimchanfc to showcase photography collection at Art@Suntec, in collaboration with Canon

14 August 2019 — Instagram and Canon Influencer Jimmy Chan (@jimchanfc) will be showcasing a collection of photographs at the new art space, Art@Suntec. Art@Suntec is a dedicated art space by Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre (Suntec Convention Centre), which opens 24/7.

The collection titled ‘The World Through Jimmy's Lens: Perception of Wanderlust’ is the second exhibition to be put up at Art@Suntec, and will be on display from now to January 2019. The collection of specially curated photographs represents the photographer’s journey around the region, showcasing his forte in street and travel photography.

“Photography is an art form that arose from the technological advancement in the camera, and even more so with the increasing popularity of Instagram. For the first time, we are bringing art from the digital space into a gallery,” said Suntec Convention Centre CEO Arun Madhok. “For our second exhibition, we are proud to work with Canon, and to support up-and-coming local Instagram Influencer and photographer Jimmy Chan.”

All nine photographs on display have been specially curated for Art@Suntec’s exhibition. “This is my first solo exhibition, and each piece reflects my journey in understanding people and cultures around the world,” said Jimmy Chan. “Every facial expression and moments captured tell many stories, and I wish to share the pictorial adventure of my travels with you.”
