Suntec Singapore Forges Ahead With Its Annual List Of 88 Key Events

1 February 2019 - Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre (“the Centre”) introduces its annual 88 key events for 2019. Sweeping both Asia’s and the World’s Leading Convention & Exhibition Centre awards at the World Travel Awards, Suntec Singapore concluded an excellent year in 2018 with 15 top industry awards. Hosting over 1,600 events, the Centre was also honoured to be the preferred venue for the 33rd ASEAN Summit which was held in November 2018.

The Centre has established its name in the MICE industry offering a suite of technology services, free venue-wide high-speed WiFi, an award-winning culinary team that produces gastronomical culinary adventures and a dedicated team of service professionals which makes Suntec Singapore the venue of choice for top medical conferences, trade & consumer shows and technology & lifestyle events.

As a PhRMA-code compliant venue, Suntec Singapore is delighted to welcome returning medical shows such as 6th SG-ANZICS Asia Pacific Intensive Care Forum, Singapore Hepatology Conference 2019, AICT-Asia PCR 2019, 5th Asia Pacific CAD/CAM & Dentistry International Conference, 29th Singapore Pharmacy Congress, Asia Pacific MedTech Forum 2019, EBPOM Asia 2019 and ESMO Asia 2019.
New additions include OPTIONS X for the Control of Influenza 2019 organised by ISIRV. The association will be holding their flagship conference in the Centre. Lance Jennings, Chairman for the International Society for Influenza and other Respiratory Virus Diseases said: “This is the 10th meeting in the OPTIONS series where scientists and industry representatives from all parts of the world will converge in the beautiful city of Singapore to showcase their research and products. We are especially proud that it will be held at Suntec Singapore, a state-of-the-art venue in a picture-perfect setting - the ideal context for this special edition of OPTIONS X.”

With 42,000m2 of customisable venue space available 24 hours a day, Suntec Singapore can host multiple events simultaneously. The Centre is ideally located in the center of the business district and very convenient for consumers to visit shows such as ADEX SG 2019, ITShow 2019 and Sprout 2019 which is the largest farm-to-people festival organised by the Centre.

Suntec Singapore is proud to be hosting a new trade show – ELDEX.  A comprehensive B2B2C event that aims to create a marketplace for international suppliers to meet with Asian buyers and end-users for the silver economy. This event will focus on six segments: healthcare and rehabilitation; architecture and fittings; lifestyle and wellness; technology, digital & IT, finance, insurance and other services; and the great beyond.

Event Director, Joseph Yeo said, “ELDEX will also feature a medical conference dedicated to geriatric care as well as a start-up zone created to enable emerging companies to access funding opportunities. The event aims to be Asia's most dedicated exhibition for the rapidly growing eldercare industry.”

In October, Suntec Singapore will host the world’s leading transport technology congress - 26th Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress. This congress will see a gathering of over 10,000 attendees, including industry leaders, professionals, government officials, students and members of the public, from across the globe. This congress will cater to a comprehensive format of plenary and interactive sessions, as well as a dynamic exhibition with technical demonstrations.

In 2018 the Centre introduced two new features - our award-winning HybriD system and the online booking platform. The HybriD system gives event organisers a 360-view of the venue spaces, while the online booking platform allows users to book event spaces and other services directly from their mobile devices. Other technology offerings in the Centre include complimentary high-speed WiFi and digital signage, which positions Suntec Singapore as the preferred venue for shows such as Asia Pacific MedTech Forum 2019, Asia Oceania GeoSciences Society 2019 and Spikes Asia 2019.
